Technical Application Specialist - field based - (f, m, d)

Your Responsibilities:

Your focus will lie on the application of Promega’s STR chemistries, capillary electrophoresis-based analyses, and sequencing, there you will provide technical advice, troubleshooting, and provide product recommendations and solutions to our European customers. 

As our “technical product expert” you will develop and conduct product demonstrations and trainings in customer laboratories for chemistries, related instrumentation, and applications. 

Your customer-oriented collaboration with our European branches (sales staff and technical service) as well as with our Global Scientific Application and Marketing team will be very close and contributes to the understanding of the technical challenges and benefits associated with reagents, instrumentation, and integration. 

Your Abilities:

You are an experienced laboratory technician, or you do have achieved a university degree in laboratory or related life science areas with several years of lab experience. You are familiar with capillary electrophoresis, qPCR, RT-PCR, next generation sequencing and do have a proven experience in the use of STR products and data analysis. Knowledge of diagnostic workflows is an advantage. 

In your former position you have gained advanced software experience like GeneMapper®, SoftGenetics’ GeneMarker and ChimerMarker Software®, Windows, and you like to interact with large audiences in English and other European languages.
